Mucha Mucha Placer is a non-binary, gay human and drag queen, who has been the mother of the House of Pleasure for decades. They have over 30 siblings, children and now grandchildren who have conducted fundraising events in Hartford called the Snow Ball which raised money for AIDS Service and LGBTQIA+ community organizations. They are both a performance artist, photographer and political queen who brings their art outside in broad daylight to emcee Hartford Gay Pride, to march for Queer Black Lives Matter, to co-chair the CT Coalition for LGB Civil Rights and the Hartford Commission for LGB Issues, where they helped to create the first Domestic Partnership ordinance in the CT while a commissioner in Hartford. They are the newly crowned Queen Mother of the Connecticut Chapter of Drag
Story Hour.
